School photos are a cherished keepsake for families, but knowing when to buy can make a big difference in terms of discounts, shipping costs, and delivery times. If you’re planning to order your child’s school photos, here’s a guide on the best times to make your purchase for the best deals and convenience.
**1. The First ~5 Days – Discount Period**
(This varies at each school so check your date!)
The best time to buy school photos is within the first five days after the online gallery opens for orders. During this period, you’ll often get the best discounts. This is when you can take advantage of exclusive price reductions that might not be available later. The discount window is typically quite short, so be sure to order as soon as you receive the link to your child’s photos.Hint: you can find the date the coupon expired in the top right corner when you’re ordering.
**2. Before Free Shipping Ends**
If you miss the early discount period, the next best time to buy is just before the free shipping period ends. Many schools offer free shipping to the school, but this service usually has a cut-off date. Be sure to order before the deadline to avoid extra shipping costs. Check your email or text messages for the specific deadline, and keep an eye on the online gallery to ensure you don’t miss it! Hint: We usually put this date in the bottom of our emails to you about your photos! This date is not flexible.
**3. Before the Photos Are Archived**
If you can’t purchase in the first two windows, the final opportunity is before the photos are archived.
For Fall photos, all orders must be placed before December 6.
For Spring photos, the last day to order is June 8.
After these dates, photos are archived and no longer available. However, we do offer one additional opportunity:
Archived Fall photos can be ordered one more time during the summer.
Archived Spring photos are available again in January or February.
This gives you a second chance to order, but these windows are also not flexible.
Ordering your photos on time also ensures you can create meaningful holiday gifts for family—such as metal prints or custom ornaments. These thoughtful, personal items are always a hit with grandparents and loved ones!
